Tough Week

I am sorry there are no new posts this week. Due to illness, Logan has bronchitis and I have pneumonia we haven't done anything except staying home. So no new pictures or updates this weekend. I hope everyone has a great weekend, and hopefully I can post some cute pictures next week.

Labor Day, Birthday Party and Allergies

You are probably asking what do those 3 things have in common. Well that is what has been going on at our house this week. On labor day, we were down in Alabama for a visit with Nana and Stan. Logan tried sleeping in the big bed, but woke up around 4:45 screaming. He must have woken up realized he was in a different place and the nightlight scared him. So he spent the rest of early morning sleeping with Clyde while I slept with Connor in the other room. It was an exhausting weekend. We took Clyde's dads trailer down with us, and brought back a treadmill and a daybed. We are putting the daybed in the office and the treadmill in our bedroom. I am excited to be able to exercise at home.

This Wednesday, Sept 9th, was Clyde's grandmother's 95 birthday. I met up with Clyde and we took the boys up to Franklin to visit with her and the rest of the family at her home. Clyde's two aunts (Jeanette and Claudia) came down, along with Claudia's husband, Bill, and their daughter Shawn. Scott's brother, Scott, and his parents were also there. They had a picnic outside in the garden at the nursing home, and when we got there they were about to blow out the candles. We spent about an hour visiting with the family, while Logan and Grandpa ran around the path and bridge. We didn't stay too long, due to Grandma getting tired, but it was a nice visit overall. Here is a picture of the family with Grandma and also a final picture of the boys which I framed as her birthday gift. Happy Birthday Grandma Gies.

Summer Visitors

After Connor's birth, we had a constant in pouring of family. Some of our guests included my dad from Florida, my sister in law and neices from Texas, my brother in law/sister in law from Alabama, and my younger brother from Washington. It was great seeing everyone and having them here to meet our new addition. Here are some pictures of our visitors this summer.

Pictures of the boys

Trying to get a good picture of a 2 month old is hard enough, but try adding in a 2 1/2 year old and it is almost impossible. I have been trying to get a picture of the boys together as a birthday gift for Clyde's grandmother. If one of them is happy, then the other one is not, if one is still the other one is moving. Some of our best pictures include Logan in his big boy underwear or Connor's diaper hanging out. Ugh! I guess we need to keep working on that perfect picture.

2 Months Old

It is hard to believe that Connor is already 2 months old. He had his check up last week and wow has he grown. His appointment was a week late due to his doctor being on vacation, but worked out perfectly since Clyde had the day off and stayed home with Logan. I was happy not to have to take both boys to the doctors office.

The appointment went well, Connor made an impression by not only having an explosive diaper but also peeing all over the table while he got a diaper change. The nurse laughed saying her next question was if he had a strong stream of urine. I guess he answered that question. Then it was time for the measurements. We knew he was going to be big, but were expecting him to be right around the same size as Logan, but Connor decided to pass his big brother's weight at 2 months by a whole lb.

Connor weighed in at 15 lbs 7 oz, and measured 24 3/4 inches long. This means he has grown 7 lbs and 2 1/2 inches in 2 months. Wow!! His head also grew 2 inches, so he is definitely growing. He is in the 100% for weight, 95% for height, and the 75% for head circumference. No wonder he has already outgrown his 0-3 month close and his size 1 diapers.

He finished the appointment by getting 2 shots, and one oral vaccination. He handled them pretty well, only crying during the pokes. He goes back in 2 months to get the same vaccines and another weight check.

Welcome!

Well I decided to start another blog. Yes I know what you are thinking, another one?? I have a tendency to start these and then fall behind in my postings but I am going to try again. Fall is fast approaching which means lot of family activities to share. Also with the birth of Connor, and how quick he is growing it is time for me to update friends and family. I am going to try harder on this one and make sure to update with our family news, outings, and some pictures each week, so here is my 3rd attempt at a family blog, hopefully this go around it works.
