Baptism

This past weekend we got both boys baptised at our new church. We have always meant to get Logan baptised but were waiting till we found the perfect church for us. Since we became members of Trinity Church a few weeks ago, we decided now was the perfect time. We decided to get both boys at once and invited all our family to join us. My mom, her boyfriend Stan, & Clyde's parents joined us for the event. We also had a few of our friends, who are members of the church, join us as well.

The day was even more special in that it was Logan's 3rd birthday. The preacher, Mack Strange, asked everyone to sing Happy Birthday to Logan which made his face light up. They had the boys names up on a projection screen. It was a wonderful day and a very special moment in both of my boys life.

Coupons

My name is Emily and I am a coupon clipper. A few months ago, some of the ladies in my mom's club took a coupon class. I was interested in taking the class hearing that the speaker could spend $70 or less each week for a family of 4. That is amazing to me. So after lots of research and reading many websites, I will list some of my favorites soon, I began the wonderful hobby of coupon clipping. Each week I am getting better, but this past week was my best, by far. I went to Kroger, which was having their Mega Sale. If you have never heard of it, it is if you buy 10 participating items you get $5 off at checkout. So I loaded up my e-coupons, my clipped coupons, and went shopping.

I ended up spending $113 total, saving over $86.70. I was so happy and surprised, since my cart was over the top full and I was expecting a huge bill. Here is a picture of everything I bought, except for my frozen items. My frozen items included:
2 bags of Ore Ida Potatoes
2 Pepperidge Farm Garlic bread
2 Tombstone Pizza
2 Edy's Ice Cream

Halloween

This Halloween was definitely one to forget. Logan was diagnosed the Friday before Halloween (Halloween was Saturday) with H1N1 or otherwise known as the Swine Flu. He was running a fever, which meant we could not go trick or treating. We tried to make it as fun as possible, and in the end he really didn't miss or realize what was going on outside. We put a bucket of candy outside, so that people wouldn't ring the bell. We also picked some fun activities to do as a family. We carved our pumpkin, had pizza for dinner and then watched Ice Age 3. It was a nice night. Here is a picture of the boys with our pumpkin.
