Our family has a tradition of going to a local pumpkin patch each October. Normally we drive up to Franklin and go to Gentry's Farm. Well this year the pick your own pumpkin patch there was closed due to all the rain we have had. I guess pumpkins dont grow well when it is constantly raining. Since that is one of the main reasons of going to Gentry's Farm, we decided to try a pumpkin patch closer to home. This year we went to Ring Farm which is outside of Spring Hill. Keith, Kristina, Lyndsey, Scott and Grandma all went with us for the outing.
Ring Farm is smaller than Gentry's and since we went around 1 pm, yes we skipped naptime, it was very empty. They have a corn maze, hayride, a gigantic slide, pumpkin patch (or so they say) and a kids area. We enjoyed it and since it was so close we will go back next year.
